对色彩斑澜的化学世界着迷是Cronin 课题组科学研究的源动力。我们期望利用非生物构筑块来建造复杂的功能性分子结构。

开发并使用前沿的合成方法及分析手段是我们持之以衡的部分工作。我们涉及的基础研究领域包括：合成纳米级功能性多酸簇，自组装和非平衡条件下的超分子组装过程，传统有机化学，配体设计和配位化学。我们设计相关系统来探测研究领域中的奇异现象，例如：纳米及微米结构的自我生长，化学耗散系统，分子进化，甚至延伸到研发人工生命或人工细胞。关于Cronin课题组研究更详细的信息，请参照课题组网站-研究栏。

Cronin课题组是一个国际性的课题组，它包括来自世界各地多个国家的研究人员。Cronin课题组尤其与东亚有着极其紧密的联系，组内有许多来自中国和日本的学生及博士后。
