Before arriving in Glasgow, I studied at the University of London (King’s College; Imperial College), and ICIQ (Tarragona, Catalunya), then spent some years working in industry (Plaxica Ltd) and a brief time at the University of Puerto Rico.

I am working on a number of projects within the Cronin group: while the subject matter varies (polyoxometalate chemistry; artificial life/Origin of Life), control and analysis of complex systems is a common theme, as is the automation of synthesis and analysis. I lead an ‘Origins’ research team, and look after the group's liquid chromatography and Ion Mobility MS facilities
