After obtaining a BSc in Chemistry with Molecular Medicine at the University of Hull, I started my research career by completing a MSc on the “Resolution of thioureas”. I then moved to the University of Cambridge for my PhD where I investigated the “Synthesis and reactivity of boron hydrides for the preparation of chiral diboranes and bis-phosphines”. I am currently a Research Fellow in the Cronin group looking at automating complex chemical synthesis. My research interests include synthesis using strategy and control, reaction mechanisms, chirality, resolutions, boron and phosphorous chemistry, multinuclei NMR, drug discovery and design, automation and more.

In my spare time I enjoy watching and playing sports, exercise, in general, especially interval training, cooking and baking especially cake designing, photography, watching films and generally anything related to science and technology.
