I joined the Cronin Group as Research Associate in May 2020, working on process monitoring for the Chemputar by using webcams for anomaly detection. I am also working on developing 3D reconstruction models of oil droplets in a chemical solution investigating the behaviour of droplets diffusion and fusion enforced by chemical synthesis.

In 2018, I joined the Centre for ultrasonic engineering, University of Strathclyde, UK as Research Associate performing 3D reconstruction of components, generating a toolpath for Ultrasonic probe to perform NDT inspection using KUKA KR5 robotic platform. Furthermore, I have been involved in developing a system for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for remote visual monitoring. I have also contributed to developing automatic defect detection system from C-Scan NDT data. Moreover, I had delivered Robot Vision lectures for Robotics course, and held a Lab leader position for microcontroller course. I have also Co-supervised PhD students and a summer internee.

In 2018 I obtained a doctoral degree in Computing Science from University of Glasgow after working on Scene understanding by robotic interactive perception. From 2017 to 2018 I have also worked as Research Assistant in the Computer Vision and Autonomous Systems Laboratory in the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow, working on an Innovate UK project to develop a smart grasping system in collaboration with Shadow Robotics, UK.

I held a research position for six months at Pattern Analysis and Computer Vision group, Istituto Italiano di Technolgia, Genoa, Italy in 2013 and a Lecturer position in the Electrical Engineering department at COMSATS institute of IT, Pakistan from 2011 to 2013.

I did MSc in Electronic Communications and Computer Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK in 2010 and BSc in software engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, Pakistan in 2008.
