Catriona (Cat) MacGregor
Technician
I graduated from the University of Glasgow in June 2020 with a BSc in Chemistry. During my final year I joined the Cronin Group for my research project, which focused on optimising the conditions of POM-hybrid synthesis for their incorporation in peptide sequences.
I re-joined Team Clusters as a postgraduate student, and I will be continuing work on the self-assembly of POMs and their interactions with amino acids. I will also be undertaking a project which focuses on synthesising various cluster metal carboxylates, to investigate reliable routes to the discovery of high nuclearity or heterometallic clusters by the automated exploration of their chemical space.
Outwith research, I enjoy cycling, hiking and travelling.
