Dominic (Dom) Willcox

I completed my MSc at the University of Bristol (2014-2018). During which, I undertook a summer project with Prof. Fred Manby studying CCSD(T)-in-DFT embedding on novel Iron(I) complexes. My final year project was under the supervision of Dr Chris Russell on gold-catalysed cross-coupling. I then obtained my PhD from the University of Edinburgh (2018-2022) focussed on group 13 exchange in catalysis under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Thomas. My PhD also involved cooperation with Dr Michael Cowley for the study of aluminium-based frustrated Lewis pairs.
