Dr. Sebastian Manzano

Post Doctoral Researcher

I completed my B.S. in Chemistry at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador) in 2013, where I performed computational studies on the electronic properties of pyrogallol[4]arenes. In 2018, I obtained my Ph.D. from Iowa State University after working in Dr. Igor Slowing’s group. My research focused on the development of bifunctional 3D printable resins. These resins were used to produce bespoke and chemically active 3D printed structures. Additional projects involved the study of mesoporous materials as supports in heterogeneous catalysis and drug delivery. In 2019, I joined the Cronin group where I’m working with reactionware systems. Outside of the laboratory, I like to play and watch football.
