Chemistry Graduate School
The Chemistry Graduate School at the University of Glasgow is part of the WestCHEM Research School. The WestCHEM Graduate School has around 150 Chemistry PhD students. Around half of these are based at the University of Glasgow, engaged in a wide range of Chemistry research.
The areas covered by this research include
Organic Synthesis, Chemical Biology,
Biophysical and Protein Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Catalysis,
Surface Science, Molecular Magnetism, Inorganic Synthesis, Metal
Cluster Chemistry, Structural Chemistry and Crystallography.
The Chemistry Graduate School at the University of Glasgow expects to have a range of PhD studentships available for projects beginning in October 2010.

Applications for Research PhDs
Applications for admission to the WestCHEM Graduate School in the
Department of Chemistry should be made via the Physical Sciences
Graduate School. The University Postgraduate Prospectus also provides more information.
Informal enquiries can be made to the prospective supervisor or to
the Head of the Chemistry Graduate School, Dr Graeme Cooke. Applicants should have or
expect to get at least a second class honours degree or equivalent.
