Plagiochila heterophylla Lindenb. ex Lehm. var. heterophylla

Syn. P. atlantica F.Rose; see J. Heinrichs 2002, Bryophytorum Bibliotheca, vol. 58, p. 145. Secondary metabolites and leaf surface waxes had already indicated a relationship between the European taxon and Neotropical species (Heinrichs & Rycroft, 2001).
