Prof. Duncan H. Gregory

Curriculum Vitae
After graduating in Chemistry with Physics from the University of Southampton in 1989, Prof. Gregory obtained a PhD in Solid State Chemistry at the University of Southampton under the supervision of Prof. Mark T. Weller. He then moved to the University of Nottingham, where he worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with Dr. Marten Barker in collaboration with Prof. Peter P. Edwards at the University of Birmingham. He was awarded an EPSRC Advanced Research Fellowship in 1997 and was subsequently appointed first Lecturer (2002) and then Reader (2005) in Materials Chemistry at Nottingham.

Prof. Gregory took the WestCHEM Chair in Inorganic Materials at the University of Glasgow in 2006. He was Head of Inorganic Chemistry at the School of Chemistry (2008-2014), Head of Inorganic Teaching (2014-2017) and Head of Transnational Education (2017-2020). He was the recipient of the RSC Sustainable Energy Award in 2009 and the IOM3 Kroll Medal and Award in 2019.
