Laurence D. Barron: Research Interests
    My general research area is physical and theoretical chemistry, with particular emphasis on the electric, magnetic and optical properties of molecules. I am especially interested in novel phenomena associated with chirality including Raman optical activity  (ROA) which my group is developing as a novel probe of solution structure and dynamics of biomolecules. A magnetic version in achiral samples functions as Raman electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). I also work on fundamental aspects of chirality and absolute enantioselection.
