Disordered Metal Atoms Sites of
FeRu2(CO)12
The disordered metal atom sites shown above illustrate a possible
pathway for the rotational motion of the
metal atoms by 180o in the lattice. The atoms coloured blue trace
out the
path followed by the iron atom. This motion involves a
considerable out-of-plane displacements for the Ru atoms in the intermediate
60o and 120o positions.
