Eduard (Edu) Garrido Ribo

Postgraduate Student

I first joined the Cronin Group as a project student as a part from an Erasmus+ program. After I got my degree on Chemistry at University of Barcelona in Spain, I went back to Glasgow with the Cronin group to continue my research as an intern to then become a PhD student on October 2017.

I work with hybrid polyoxometalates. I try to bind them to inorganic molecules such as amino acids, peptides and proteins to try to understand and study the possible effects and applications that these inorganic cluster may have over natural bio molecules.

Outside from the lab I enjoy music over anything else, singing in a choir an playing the guitar whenever I have the time. I also assist on guided tours all over Scotland and enjoy watching movies, TV series and playing video games.
