Jinyan (James) Du

Jinyan (James) was born in Xinjiang and is now based in Sichuan, China. His previous research interests and experience include photoelectrocatalysis, charge transfer, and energetic materials. He completed his MSc at the University of Glasgow, where his research focused on industrial heterogeneous catalysis.
He is currently working on the robotic discovery of functional nanomaterials (Nanobot), combining automated experimentation with materials synthesis and characterisation.
Outside the lab, Jinyan enjoys learning about different cultures, chatting with people from different backgrounds, and keeping fit.
