There are tactile objects and artefacts made out of, or related to, the particular element or its compounds or alloys. These are things that can be passed around a group and act as talking points. There are materials for chemistry demonstrations that can be done “on site” and there are hands-on chemistry activities that can be done by the target audience. In 2015/16 this project is supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Chemistry on Tour programme and will be largely visiting Schools in rural Argyll.
