The Murrie Research Group

Vacancies

We are a synthetic group and hence, the projects on offer will be predominantly inorganic/organic synthesis, but with the added opportunity to gain experience in the characterisation of molecular materials.

Postdocs
We have one PDRA vacancy in the group (available from September 2012). This is a new EPSRC funded project entitled 'Mapping magnetic anisotropy: rational design of high-blocking temperature nanomagnets' **NEW**

An advert & the formal procedure for applying will be posted here as soon as possible. In the mean time, informal enquiries about the project can be made by email to me.

Applications from self-funded candidates are always welcome.
If you would like to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship to work with us, get in touch and we can provide advice on sources of funding etc.

PhD
We have one PhD vacancy in the group (available from October 2012) in the area of coordination chemistry / molecular magnetism. **NEW**

Informal enquiries about the project can be made by email to me. Applicants must be UK nationals (or EU nationals who have spent the last three years in the UK) and possess, or be about to obtain, a 1st class or upper 2nd class Honours degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
