Amit Kahana
Postgraduate Student
Originally from Israel, I completed a BSc in Biology from Ben-Gurion University, and an MSc in Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science. During my studies I worked in several labs, gaining experience in immunology, microbiology, genetics and biophysics. As part of my MSc, I begun to study the origin of life in the lab of Prof. Doron Lancet, using tools of computational chemistry to research the capacity of lipid assemblies to self-reproduce and evolve. I joined the Cronin group in January 2022 as part of the A-life team to research the emergence of selection in complex chemical systems.
