I left my home in 2012 when it was decided I got accepted to a MSc degree in Chemistry with Drug Discovery at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. During my degree, I have been exposed to a wide range of topics: chemical biology, organic chemistry, inorganic, physical, forensic and analytical. To this date, there is no particular topic that I consider my favourite in terms of chemistry, I like it all. During my degree, I had a chance to go to France for a one year and two month industrial placement. It involved pharmacology and drug formulation development for patients with schizophrenia. I graduated in June 2017 with a 2:1 and a week later I was sitting alongside other Cronies. The aim of my Ph.D. within the group is to explore medicinal chemistry space with reactionware (3D printed chemistry devices). My current interests revolve around 3D printing and CAD design process, inorganic as well as organic chemistry, programming and scripting with the intention of automating tasks as well as gadget design. Working within the Cronin group is a brilliant opportunity to develop skills on a multidisciplinary level, transferable as well as scientific. As for out-of-work hobbies, I am into photography, gaming as well as having a social life.
