Robert Rauschen
Post Doctoral Researcher
Originally from Münster, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in 2018 at RWTH Aachen University studying gold nanoparticle synthesis. After research internships in Cologne (rotational spectroscopy on astrochemically relevant molecules) and Heidelberg (simulation of autocatalytic reaction networks), I returned to RWTH Aachen in 2019 to pursue my master’s degree, analysing ion migration in perovskites. In 2021, I joined the Cronin group as a PhD candidate, combining my expertise in programming and chemistry, and completed my PhD in 2024. I am currently working as a PDRA in the Cronin group, where I apply digital chemistry and automation to drive discovery-oriented synthesis projects.
Outside of my research, I have a passion for windsurfing and dancing.
