Yue Dong

Post Doctoral Researcher

This is a story of “wandering”: Yue was born in 1995 in Pingyao, Shanxi Province, China. After spending his early childhood with his grandparents, he moved with his family to Taiyuan, where he grew up. Yue then moved to Shanghai to study pharmaceutical engineering at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). In 2018, he embarked on a new journey to Tucson, Arizona, for his Ph.D. in photocatalytic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. After earning his doctorate in January 2024, he completed brief postdoctoral training before relocating to Glasgow to join Dr. Cronin’s research group as a postdoctoral fellow. In addition to his “wandering,” Yue is passionate about traditional Chinese literature and history.
