Cyclic peptide synthesis
The peptides team use solid-phase peptide synthesis and orthogonal protection strategies to synthesise complex disulfide-bonded peptides and peptidomimetics.
Research in the Jamieson group is split into three main focus areas; small molecule drug development, macrocyclic peptide synthesis and structural biology. We aim to develop novel therapuetics for the treatment of malaria, to target GPCRs such as GPR84 and the oxytocin receptor, and to synthesise tool compounds for developing our understanding of receptors in the body.
